MOA OPPORTUNITIES

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

  • perform timely administrative tasks within the clinic
  • answer busy telephones and address patient inquiries swiftly and friendly
  • create, maintain, and update patient files accurately and regularly
  • book patient appointments
  • review and complete daily worklists and indexing tasks
  • stock exam rooms, treatment rooms, physician offices, and front reception areas daily
  • set up for and assist physicians during procedures such as pap tests, mole removals, physical examinations, etc.
  • clean and sanitize exam and treatment rooms in between each patient
  • conduct patient assessments such as temperature, height, weight, eye exam, blood pressure, and other vital stats as required
  • assist with insurance forms, referral letters, sick notes, and other various forms
  • other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical Office Assistant Diploma/Certificate
  • minimum 1-year MOA experience
  • highly experienced in Healthquest EMR
  • experienced with Netcare and all applicable guidelines
  • clear and current criminal record check
